Ugh I'm sorry but mounted pets and their owners never fail to give me the shivers. I probably wouldn't be able to sleep after watching that.

Doesn't come on here in Arizona (at least where I live with Cable One) until 11:00 pm. That's a good way to get low ratings.........................

The hog skull skit was total BS, but the pet freeze drying was entertaining!  Cheesy Cheesy  Frozen dead house dogs being tossed around and stuff!  I've seen a lot of dead dogs, but never one frozen! Roll Eyes Grin Cheesy

1.I am not a fan of freeze drying anyting taxi-dermy im my opinion is the taxi of skin over a form.
2.Its seems as another bring it in today get it tommorrow show.(or a couple days later)
3.The rush oven roast of the hog skulls because they werent dry and customers coming in an hour didnt set with me.(take your time do it right)
4.We taxidermist are not weirdo outcasts from the world as dipicted in the show.(thats how i was seeing it being pertrayed
5.The HOLLYWOOD overboard skits i dont like.(keep it real and pure)
6.I regret my thoughts are there will be a how to show on a national level channel end up coming out for all taxidermy and the population will think we all do the same exact procesess
the same exact steps, the same exact results, and are the same wierd almost humans, which we all no is not true.
Remember T.J. and Mike as well as several of ment to be funny hunting shows, you would be surprised if you knew how many that dont know any real hunters think we are exactly like that show.(crazy, drunk redneck, tresspasers driving around on private property spotlighting with a rifle during the summer etc..)

I enjoyed the show, it was fun to watch, if you take it with a grain of salt.  The show was produced for the average person that did not know what taxidermy is about, that is why some of us Taxidermist may not like the show. It was not meant to educate  us Taxidermist but to entertain the average viewer.  I due have a problem with the way the shop floor was all bloody and the guy with out a shirt.  It is not the way I want to be viewed by the general public. I just like a neat looking shop and to look some what professional. The uniforms were like putting a bow on a pig and seamed to me to be an after thought just for the camera.
What was with the hog skulls?  Did he paint them white and not bleach them?  He might want to leave the skulls to a "pros" and farm the out so he can concentrate on the freeze drying.
I did like his work on the pets,  I think he did a good job on them and they looked life like and natural.  It would hard, emotionally to deal with the grieving customers all the time, the little dead dog was real sad.  For the rest of his work it looked OK to me but it was hard to tell with it just being in the background.
I moved my stove today to see what was under it, how dose all that crap get under it?
