I have a deer cape that I believe was tanned with Lutan. Not sure though. Can I put it back in a pickle for a couple days then retan with True Bond?  Thanks for any info.

Why would you want to do that, if its already tanned?

It wasn't tanned properly the first time. I would like to do it over and I like the results I get with True Bond.

Rehydrate in 3 gal of warm water, with 3/4 lb salt, and 6oz baking soda.

Cut TB1000 50/50 with warm water, and apply to that cape after draining for 2 hrs.

Let dry completely, then rehydrate in 3 gal warm water, 3/4lb salt, and a little degrease or dawn. (lightly wash)

Freeze or mount.

The same thing can be done with capes tanned in the auto tanner, with superior results! Shocked(tanned with crystals)
