Does anybody know where I can send a few capes to get tanned here in the northwest? I live in Idaho and would like to save on shipping. I am new to the taxidermy industry and don't know exactly where to start. I have two mule deer and one elk cape that I would like to get tanned. I don't really want to tan them myself. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

MuleyCrazed,,,,  Google tannery in Oregon,, and a few will come up to pick from.  See which one is the closest to where you are located.

Thanks for the tip Dakota. I hadn't tried that yet. I ran a Google search and found one commercial tannery in Oregon, but they are backlogged and are not taking any more hides. However, I searched specifically for Idaho tanneries and found one that isn't too far from where I live, which will save a lot of money on shipping.

In case anyone is interested, here is the link to Moyle Mink & Tannery in Heyburn, ID: http://www.moytown.com/index.html

They seem reasonably priced. Has anyone ever used them?

the bitterness of poor quality far outweighs the sweetness of low price.
