Can I leave a deer cape in the pickle for more than 72 hours during the tanning process or will it damage the cape?

Sure you can, just check the pH daily and make sure it stays down.

Leave it for 72 days as long as ph is allright, & it is stirred daily. DOES NOT need to be underwater.

The longer the better is my motto. I pickle for about 7 days on average. I love a nice clean white deer cape prior to tanning.
