I have been looking in to several schools and am wanting some suggestions. Would you recommend going to a larger school which the program is longer, say 7 or 8 months, or a shorter, 8 week course? I am wanting to go to school to learn a variety of animals, not just one specialty. The longer one would obviously be more in depth but is it worth it? If I go the shorter route, I defianetly would want to take specialty courses for waterfowl and gameheads afterwards. Any help is greatly appreciatted. Thanks

7 or 8 months seems kind of outta whack to me. I think you'd be better off with the short course basics, then you can seek improvement in areas where you need it.

I went to school in NC back in 2002. I went from Jan to Dec. 16 weeks Game heads, 8 weeks Birds, 16 weeks Fish. At the time I thought it was good to have the longer classes. But looking back on it now I would have rather saved the money and did some one on one classes with some of the guys that are on this site. I thank with the one on one classes you will get the batter training you are looking for. Look for some one to do game heads with. Thin someone for birds and thin fish.

The school I went to was ok I guess for the basics. There was 12 people in the game head class, 10 in birds, and 12 in fish. So that means that the instructor was running from student to student all day long. Look in to Bill Yoxs, Rick Carter, Vincent Fleming to name a few. There is so many on this site that will do one on one. I have talked to Carter he is 500.00 a day in GA. Fleming is 350.00 a day in NC.

Good lick.

I'm in a 12 week program and we're already ahead of schedule by 3 weeks so you don't in my opinion need all those months. I was green when I started and now I'm getting pretty good. You can always get more trainning in a area you need from these guys on here. Just my opinion.
