i would like to how hard it is to dry tan a "hide" i know that most professionals are going to send it out but i want to learn every part of taxidermy and to me this a critical part just want opinions mainly for garment thanks~cook

Not being a Pr here but it would help you first if you searched a little on this site for your question. It would have explained to you that a dry tan is any wet tanned hide that is just simpled dried to 85% dryness and then it's broken in a tumbler or by hand to make it soft. That is what most tanneries do or some just dry there hides or per say for mounting purpose only to dry them hard till they hydrate the hide for mounting.
