I have a bobcat that is 37 inches from tip of nose to base of tail,I find that to be huge or is that an average size.Just thought I would ask and see what everyone thinks.

The weight will tell you more than a measurement. A weight will give you overall muscle/bone mass as to weather its truly a large cat as opposed to a long scrawny one. Someone will probably disagree but makes sense to me.

If you are measuring the skin,I would be careful on the length measurement, especially if it is case skinned. It would be very rare to have a true 37",on the carcass tom.It would probably be a record if it were a female, measuring 37" on the carcass.

Ive caught hundreds of cats and only a handful were that big... caught one last week that was 2 1/8 19 37 on the carcass, and 37 pounds. Ive only seen a couple females that approached the 30 pound mark

I'm looking for a picture now, those in your picture bugs and bones are very tiny compared to this one,I had to hold my arm up quite a ways so the front paws would be off the ground.I was pretty amazed,I didn't think they got this big.

I got one about a month ago that measured 2 1/8-23-36 on the carcass that weighed 41 lbs. I get a couple every year that are over 40 lbs but never a female hardly over 32 lbs. If that is the carcass measurement it definately is a huge cat for being a female.
