Fill a plastic garbage with cold water, add rock hard salted cape, agitate freq. Could take up to seventeen hours to fully hydrate so be patient, I have hydrated lots of rock hard capes and skins, the trick is to leave it in the water till its fully hydrated as though you just removed it from the mammal, so do not remove it till its fully hydrated.
