Thanks Freeze. I tried searching. I know when the hides are supposed to be neutralized, after a certain amount of time depending on the tans used but what I want to know is a way to test a hide after it has been in the neutralizing solution for prescribed time whether it worked correctly or not. For instance, I left a few hides in neutralizer for 15 minutes longer than the half hour prescribed for No Harm acid and they seem to have tanned up nicer than the ones left in for the correct time.
If that satisfied you then great, make a note of the amount of time you soaked them for so you have future reference.
15 minutes longer though isn't much longer than what your directions called for.
