Great job everyone.  Congrats to the UTA for a great successful show.  Thanks for posting pics Frank for those of us that could't be there.

Anyone know how that snapper head was scored?  I was wondering if they scored it under reptiles or game heads.  Thats a great way to get people scratching their heads.  Smiley

LeeAnne and I drove over to check it out and to pass out fish eyes. It was a great show! Met some taxi-netters michael P & Kerby and caught up with a bunch of old friends, Frank, Jim K, Ralph, Tony, Buzzi, Ken (BF) S, Danny O, Jeff M, Dave C, Gary Biue,Mark M...

All of the large suppliers were there too- Even Tom&Vicky of Matuska Supply!

Thanks,

Jeff

I've been to a lot of shows over the past 20+ years, but the UTA show was hands down the best one I have attended to date.  The hands-on pheasant seminar by Jim Kimball and Tony Finnazo was outstanding (and free), and over the course of 2 days they had even the most novice taxidermists putting together a pretty decent bird.  Manny Chavez' deer anatomy seminar was also terrific, as was Brett Defreitas' Turkey seminar.  I didn't have the oportunity to attend the other seminars as they ran concurrently with the aformentioned, but I'm sure they were just as informative.

The hotel was great, the show was well planned and executed, and the people were as friendly and helpful as any group of type-A personality artists ever have been.  I had a great time, learned a lot, and look forward to their next show in Nebraska in 2014.

It was a real pleasure to see everyone at the UTA show.  What an incredible number of taxidermy artists together at the same place.  We had a great time and look forward to the next Expo in in 2014 in Nebraska.

The UTA show was an absolute success.  Met a lot of people from taxi.net.  Some really awesome mounts!  And a lot of people did a lot of hard work to make it happen!

And Craig Lewis is very knowledgable on many things to include fruit agriculture!

Jeff Mourning's Alligator snapping turtle was a reproduction that he molded and casted.  To date, that is by far the BEST paint job I have ever seen on a reptile reproduction of any species.  The pictures don't show the depth of color as in real life nor the detail in the throat or the nostrils.  It was so good you would think it was a skin mount!  !  !  !

Michael P......  your package is on it's way.

I will have the pics up on the UTA website real soon.  Have to finish unpacking.  Smiley
