Hey great deer. People that come in my shop think I'm nuts for getting excited over canines. They just don't get how many regular deer we see and how rare these are.

No kidding. This one is wholesale deer for local taxi. I sent him a pic and he had never seen one before. But he has only mounted 200 deer a yr for the last 30 yrs.

I never heard of them until a couple of years ago when i got 2 in.  This year i got a doe that only had one fang.  She is degreasing now.  I just wished i would have looked when I use to help my uncle butcher 600 plus deer a year.  Pretty cool stuff!

In certain regions they are not rare at all. I would guess 8-10% of the deer have them in North Central Pennsylvania.
