Id say muskrats easily break bones and spin out. Thats cured with a drowning set. I have no experience with beaver trapping though.

Their brand new dukes. I caught the cat and several others. I was just surprised he chewed off 3 toes.
dukes are junk!! get mb650s laminated jaws there 4 coiled and fast

no he had no feeling in that leg. i can tell ya that.  making proper sets and settin up right will make for more positive catches where they should be. ie: caught real high about the foot for a nice tight hold. and lots of swivels on your chain will prevent broken bones.  thats the bad thing about dukes. there edges will tear sh*t up. yup what bill yox said bout chewin up and down the trap. true true. i had one of my last coons this year damn near polish a trap! it went from being nice and black to shinny metal again.
