Ya whats the deal going on with these animals and also the blackbucks. I heard that this year will be the last one can hunt these animals on private land. How could the fish and wildlife control what one does on their own property. It's not like these animals are native wild animals. If you have any info on any hunts let me know, I'm willing to go get one before its too late. Thanks,
Regards, Geno

no problems with blackbucks as of now, though this is a foot in the door towards more species being labelled endangered.two interesting things have happened in regards to hunts:now that there is a definite date, prices are easing back up because of all the interest.the 2nd thing is that there are few really good trophies available, sinc they have been thinning herds for 4 years in anticipation.here is an estimate of price break down:cow 30 or less 1000,cow 30 plus 1500,small to med bull 1500-2000,bull 38 plus 2500-3000
the most important question i intend to ask is if we can freely sell parts and mounts we are stuck with after the ban without documentation.

Gary,  please update us on what you find out today.

Also, I got connected with a really nice ranch in Yorktown, TX that I am selling hunts on for $1650.  I checked it out and they have 10-12 really nice trophy animals (35-40+").  I have first shot at selling them if I can get hunters.

just got a pm question i thought i would adress here because it's a pretty important point:If you own a mounted Scimitar addax or Dama or any parts after April 4th,you cannot sell them outside your state,in accordance with the Lacey act. After the permits are issued a permitted mount will not be able to be sold outside stte line either, much like a leopard or other endangered species.not a huge deal for texans ,but it could really restrict someone in a small non hunting state .

Did you read the article on the Oryx regs in LSO? Looks like they are trying to make this as easy as possible for the ranches and hunters.

$100 per permit, inventory of stock ,request of how many culls you want to shoot and why,10% donation towards perpetuating the species per animal culled.pictures of ranch and written description.paperwork they gave us is 14 pages.when you apply your name and request is posted on open records for discussion, making you accessable to the antis.
Yes for a government program it's relatively easy.
