well I screwed up. Had a beautiful red fox that was going to be my next project. I think I must have scraped it down to far. After the pickle and tan i see the hair roots and hair is coming through flesh side...Is there a way to save this or is it just shot..

Sounds Blue... Tan as usual DON'T tumble and Mount with Lots of hide past... You may be able to save it. Don't pull on the hair.

fox and 'possum are bad for that if caught early or they've eaten poorly. The hair may be thick and full ,but Marvin Mallow an old fur buyer from Clarksburg said the HIDE,not the hair,, wasn't prime yet.
