never in my right mind would I have predicted getting anything like this in, especially since I live in North Dakota but I just took in a pair tonight. Wanted to know if anyones got any good tips or suggestions for me as I've never attempted this before. I've done paddlefish and snapping turtles but no alligators yet. they'll be beetle cleaned btw. Thanks. EB

What size are we talking about? Small ones are prone to coming apart. Beetles should take care of a lot of the typical problems, but I normally macerate at the end just to make sure everything is gone.
Teeth falling out is the number one problem, but it is an easy fix.
Post pics or problems as you work on them.

I macerate too.separate upper and lower jaw to start. Will be easier to put teeth back in. Have fun

I haven't messed with a large one, but I have with a 5 footer. Both the top and bottom fall to pieces, but the top is much worse. Rubberband it or something. Even when you know for sure where a piece goes, there are ridges that make the piece difficult to fit. Check out the above link for an example.
