info on stains on skin after shaven

One out of 3 or 4 deer that I work on will have a brownish colored stains on the skin. Sometimes half or more of the cape will be this way. I presume that it is blood that has entered the skin. Is there any way to get rid of that look? I have mounted many like this and there is no effect on the mount but seems that when I send skins to a big commercial tannery I don't get any that come back with this. I can post a pic if necessary but I am sure that most of you guys know what I am speaking of.
Thanks

Like you already touched on Ryan, that stain is just a massive contusion(bruise), caused by the energy released upon bullet impact. Leaking capalaries.
Most of the time, that can be shaved off, but sometimes it cant. Some darker oils, will cover it up, after dry tanning. You are wet tanning.
I wouldnt worry much about it.

thanks aubrey, as you say, sometimes it can be shaved off but sometimes it goes so deep that you will false cut it if you go any deeper.
