What do you all like to use better. Glass or acrylic eyes, or the plastic ones with the molded eyelid on the outside. I didn't think the plastic ones would look as good but I like the eyelid on there already but wanted opinions from people who have used them.

The plastic with eyelids. Easy to use and don't look bad. But it is personal preference. The school I'm attending uses these.

Glass and sculpt the lids, works for me. I have use the acrylic eyes and lids, and don't like the look compared to good glass.

If you use acrylic eyes and get any lacquer paint overspray on them, do NOT clean them with lacquer thinner or they'll be ruined. I bought a pre-painted wood duck head years ago from WASCO which had some overspray on the eyes and made that mistake. Clean them with Windex (which doesn't dissolve lacquer paint but will soften it enough to remove with your fingernail lightly). I'd use glass though anyway.

Glass eyes are the only way to go. Sculpt the eye lids. Be sure no to over do them. It is very easy to make them too thick.
