I have 25" to 30" in bluefish I am going to be molding. Will the Smooth-On PMC-744  48oz. kit be enough to mold both sides of the fish? I am going to be using high fiber and a pexi-glass box to pour the mold. Like that video with the bluegill. Can't remember where I saw it though. What I was planning on doing is Gluing the pexiglass sections together with caulk or something so when the mold sets up I can remove it. Fill the bottom of the box with high-fiber and lay the fish in it. Set the fins and make sure everything is in line. Set the keys and spray on the PVA mold release. Once the rubber set up do the same on the other clean side second half, remove mold keys, PVA, then pour the second half. I think I haven't forgotten anything and I if I did please let me know. This will be my first try at molding a fish so any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Wouldn't use a urethane rubber for molding anything that has moisture content... urethane and moisture do not mix!  You will have undesirable results at the very least... use a silicone or alginate for making a fish casting.

You can use the Mold Max 30 by Smooth On with the Fast-Cat activator.  This allows the silicone to cure quickly depending on the proportion you use with the regular catalyst that comes with the Mold Max.  Used this way, you can use it over frozen subjects that you need to freeze in a particular position.  I just did a couple steelhead this way and it worked great since I like to use a frozen or at least partially frozen fish for the molding.
