Is there anything I can do after drying is well under way? Ear issue.

I have mounted a Krowtanned hide.  The earliners were installed with epoxy.  I am unhappy with the ear position on the form.  Deer looks like dumbo.  Was my first try with the two part McKenzie/Eppley earliners and I just did not do a good job, not the product's fault at all.  Hide paste is McKenzie.

It has dried about two weeks.  Short of a total remount with new hide, which IS ok with the customer, is there any way to rehydrate the ears enough to change their angle?

The epoxy might keep you from repositioning them if that is on the ear butt.  You can try wrapping the ears in wet paper towels, then wrap the whole head in a garbage bag and let it sit for a day.

You can wrap it in a wet towel and put a bag over it. It may take a couple of days to get the clay wet through enough to readjust the ears.

As stated put damp not soaking towel on the areas you want rehydrate and bag. It shouldn't take too long to soften up to make adjustments. I have used this method on deer that have been mounted for a number of years. Good luck, 3bears

Once the hide begins to soften from the wet towels, you can inject a little water into the ear butt area which should help a lot.

Thanks so much for the replies.  Wrapped the area in wet towels last night and bagged it.

The epoxy does not extend to the ear butts, so we should be ok.
