Nancy they had a small flock of them flying around in the late 70's.......pure....(never mind ..that was curlews)

Byrdman, where did you get this information ? I have literature going back way before the 70's with no mention of any live Labrador ducks anywhere ? as Nancy states,  they have been extinct for a long time now, I sincerely hope it is true, but I think it is very unlikely.
They have more chance finding a pink headed duck in my garden  Grin

SHOW ME.

Otherwise, I'm going to have to call BS on this one.

Could you possibly be thinking of pink-headed ducks instead of Labrador ducks? I have heard similar claims made about them, and there legitimately were some of those in captivity - at least for a short time.

  the article said it was a rare pied skunk duck or / labrador duck..they called it.....the other birds I was refering(found the articl) was a eskimo curlew...which they havent yet confirmed as extinct....like the ivory billed woodpecker and the ...well ....you know what.....
