I am a avid shed hunter and from what i see , it seems most deer drop the right antler first . I have no idea why Huh?? Anyones input would be good , Just curious as to what others see . I am in areas of no hunting where they yard in residential areas so at times its easy to see . Thanks just curious.

I honestly have no idea on this one.  I live in the city, so I don't see deer during shed time.  I wish I could though.  I'd be out there hunting down the sheds to bring home!

Most animals show preference to one side over the other. You have "right handed" deer. If you doubt that, next time you get a dead deer pull his entire bottom jaw. You'll find one side more worn that the other. I suspect the dominant side gets whacked off first.

George , thanks alot ! That makes alot of sense . Animals like people most are right handed so as you said that's a good possibility why it goes first . Never thought of that either . With lack of snow in wny this year deer did not yard up so more difficult to find sheds also witnessed alot of late doe chasing . I am only up to 9 for winter so far . Thanks again
