hi everyone ive had a beetle colony since about novemeber, had um in a metal garbage can and had the prdiectable smells of bugs and rotting meat but i recently transfered them into an old chest freezer so they could  reproduce more and have more room. they are being heated by a 25 watt light bulb at 78 degrees and i have an air vent in the lid of the freezer but when i open the lid the smell is far far stronger even when i dont have a skull in there. its just a nasty sour smell that doesnt smell the same as it did when they were in the can. any idea on what it could be?

make sure to always set your skull on something each time you put on in!you might be getting some brains down in the bedding.
