I was wanting to do a suspended water scene where I have a log coming up out of the water how do I secure the glass to the log and how do i cut my plexiglass to the exact size of the log without a gap so when I pour the artificial water on it it won't leak through? Or am I even on the right track at all? Thanks alot

I am new to this but I would not cut a hole for the log in the glass. I would carefully cut the log and line it up one piece on the bottom and one piece on the top. just make sure they line up perfect or you will be able to see it.

Thanks

Yep, that's the best way to do it, the problem is, you are going to need more support than that if you are doing a large area, and a large area is not that big! When you cut your log, make sure you paint the inside of each piece the same color as the outside of the log.

I would cut the plexiglass..its not that hard to fill around it....plus the log can help support the plexiglass JMO

I second the plexi glass, it's  pretty easy to work with and control.

tape up the bottom and pour a small amount to seal it with  clear resin on top...add some on top and add your ripples or splashes

How would I cut a hole to set a duck on the water like it is swimming?
