I really think everyone will get a kick out of this.

Yes, George, this is a shameless product plug!

The picture that I am attaching to this post show the effectiveness of a TruBond Tanning Products product.

Pictured is a pan, filled with water and 1 oz of Lipasolve 77. This mixture is at a very low simmer with a bobcat skull just under the surface. The white stuff you see in the picture is the grease that has been pulled from the skull. Total time on the simmer at this point is 20 minutes.

For anyone looking for a GREAT degreasing product, this is IT!
You bird guys, I haven't use a drop of Dawn since Jan, 2011 when I first purchased this product. I use 1/2 oz per wash basin per bird. I do mean clean birds. No I don't gass them either.

You guys that tan your own. Greasy varmints have met their match. This is what I degrease with in my tanning processes.

And you skull guys. If this picture doesn't make you change your degreaser, then,,,,,,,something is wrong.

Give Justin at TruBond a call and order some to try.

Does this product need to be heated to work?

Define "low simmer please"?  What is the temp?

Cyclone, It does not need to be heated, but for a skull you really need to get some heat up. By low simmer, I mean some light steam coming off of the surface of the water. The water does not and did not boil. I did not measure the temp.

John, I will change the title of the post. Thanks for the heads up.

Doug, was that skull already cleaned or did it have meat on it before it was put in the product?

That is a whole lot of grease.   Have you tried it on any large greasy skulls?

77 is a solvent and 55 is a surfactant.

Solvent vs. Detergent/soap

I use 55 in my rehydration baths for tanning. You can also use it for washing birds, much like using dawn only way better.

I was just wondering if it could penetrate thick bone as well as it seems to have on that bobcat.   I'll give it a shot the next time I'm ordering.
