can you mount a hide with this tanning formula?? just wanting to know if ya could or not

i would strongly reccomend not to i have used it 2 or three times and have had terrible results from it. it is very inconsistant and doesnt allow alot of streatch of shrinkage in imprtant areas

it is a tanning oil usually sold in trapping catalogs that does not require a pickle or salting, it is for hobby tans for crafts imo i would never use for a mount

Used it once!Never again! Go to tanning forum and see Old Shaver and order some Tru Bond!!Great tan!

i used it to tan hides for the wall have some reds that are 3 yrs old and softer then ever. but i pickel them in half gal water half gal vinigar and half pound salt for about 8 hrs then soak in soap water and roll up in a towel then apply the solution. it takes about 24 hrs for the whole process

they make ok wallhangers and craft grade fur but the results are far too inconsistant to use for mounting, just my 2 cents

thanks. i will not use it then lol the kit i got for my mount came with its own McKenzie ultimate acid and curatan. and a bag or sodium bicarbonate., i have everything i need.
