I would start by rasping the form to accept and hold the glue....also you have to carve in nostril detail....almost like....all the other forms available. Smiley

I rasp down the bulging neck muscle opposite the turn. That muscle is exagerated a bit too much for me,otherwise its a very good form.Love the brisket and overall definition!

All prep work on the new 6900's have to be down left handed, or it won't work or look good.

Don't forget to rasp only to the right and sand the face to the left or it won't even come out like a deer.

Your antlers look like they need to come forward a 1/4 inch and down a 1/4 inch. Double check you reference!

Looks can be deceiving .........  I take a lots a measurements before skinning and that rack is correct for that animal , as with us not all are perfect. As you can see by my eye set , very relaxed fit.

I agree, you are going to run out of skin under the burr, and on the back of the eye.

Truth be told, theyre right. The antler set is too far back, the brow is clearly pulled back judging by the hair pattern. Plus, the eyelid crease is up in the upper lid anatomy. Also, its now crowding the ear butt, as theres no back crease going up the antler ramp.

Commercially itll likely be fine, as long as it still has "the look". When making those measurements, you need two measurements PLUS a third reference like profile, etc.

Back to the question...if you soften that neck muscle bulge to preference, and soften the muscle definition throughout, again according to hair length, youll be fine. As for the nose pad, its the wing, not the pad, that needs adjusting. The wings on some models are just a tad outward, a simple swipe with sandpaper will adjust it fine. I would not use a replacement nose, theres already contour and anatomy changes to the forms nose not found on current replacements.

Everything came together just fine for me, i do not like the form and will not use another. No i am not a pro and do taxidermy as a hobby now,  if i could afford the training from you MR. Yox i do believe i have great potential . That rack is set back as it was from the animal with multiple measurements unlike  some who use the 2 finger guide. The eyes crease looks different on some deer i do as i follow the nature crease overlap pattern on the skin .i agree this one looked a bit high  , thought maybe cause it was a much bigger deer. i have a idea for a topic , lets see your "close" up mounted eye details, i saw some of these guys and they are really outstanding.

How is this one ?

Or this one?
