I doubt you need training, just experience through repetition. I can tell you that your skin IS too far back though. The one eyelid shows where the lash crease isnt indented, as the white color shows it. More importantly, the whiskers in the whisker pad are typically in the front third of the eye and forward, and most of the time line up about even as forward as the preorbital gland. When I teach, I often have the students give me their antler set measurements, and I show them a couple of WRONG settings, using their measurements...just to illustrate how that can indeed get done wrong. Looking at your original antler set pic before the cape was on, its very clear to see. Follow an imaginary line from the eye orbit and follow where the antler ramp SHOULD be. Or, show where the scutiform cartilage should be on the top of an ear butt, youll see theres no room for that ear anatomy, and too long of an area for that orbit shape and ramp.

Please do not take this as a negative, I very seldom critique in here because its too often mistaken for arrogance on my part. Its good that you think youre right, confidence is a good thing. So is accurate anatomy though... Wink

OK bill i am just a beginner and i always have trouble with this area also are you referring to the long hairs above the eyes as being the whisker pad.  And your saying those hairs should almost be as fair forward as the tear duct?  Am i interpreting you right? hope that dont confuse you

The big long whiskers above the eye, and a bit ahead of it. Guys, just think. What are whiskers for? Theyre rooted in a very heavy follicle and nerve ending. Why? Think. Yes, youre right! So he will blink when a whisker gets touched, like when hes in heavy cover, or at night. So, what good is a whisker behind his eye? Reverse? Lol. Nope, those whiskers need to be ahead of the eye. Let your reference teach you these things, and think. Good luck!!!!  Smiley
