camo skulls

I have an individual who is doing camo on bear and deer skulls. He is doing the skulls from start. ( boils some, bugs some) He is not degreasing them just putting the camo dip over the top. Here is my question . These skulls look fine when picked up but is this going to cause the camo dip to peel and flake off in the future? Don't want my customers bringing them back in a few months. Any experience with this?? Thanks for any help!

Before hydrographics can be put on the skulls have to be free of all grease. If not they will eventually begin peeling. I would not recommend dipping without degreasing. Just my two cents.

I own a hydrograpics shop and do everything from quads to full interior of vehicles. The prep is the most important part of job especially the base coat. Do these wrong or not correct results in many problems. mainly chipping, cracking, and peeling away.
