Remington Model 600 223 Bolt Action (Info needed)

The front was never fitted for a sight, that much I'm sure of. Maybe ordered specail, I don't know. Thanks again to everybody who submitted information.

It has had the barrel replaced then along with the stock.

That's exactly right.New barrel,new stock and new floorplate also.Since the barrel has been replaced,it probably wasn't a factory .223 to begin with but one of the more common calibers,rebarreled.Either way,it wouldn't have the collector value at all.The only thing original is the action.I bet it's a good shooting gun though.

   Here is a pair of 600's
They were my Dads pride and joy when it came to deer rifles. Me and him really tore the woods up with them, while he was still here with me.
  One is a 222, the other is a 308. If I remember correctly. They have both been sent back to Remington once, and refinished.

Had the gun checked out by a professional and it IS the original barrel. The only thing that was changed is the stock which we already knew was not the original. He appraised it at $1,000.00 Just thought I'd share that bit of info.
