I really appreciate all the feedback guys thanks again! I've learned a ton from this site over the past year, i'll have mount #3 done in a week or two.
Hopefully the above mentioned mistakes will not be repeated on the next one

You are doing well. That being said, it has been said before on here "quit wasting materials". You should think about a lesson from someone more experienced, it will cost you, but should be worth it. As far as the antler set goes, I can say that on the average deer in MN the bur is about 2 to 2 1/4" inches from the center of the eye. Take many measurements before caping. Should make form fit skin not the other way. Good luck, 3bears
