I use dry preserve on pretty much everything, especially weasels. I have some baby bunnies in the freezer to skin out when I have time and I plan to use dry preserve on them as well.

I would say freeze drying, but I'm a little biased as I have a freeze dryer and do both retail and wholesale work. But I got into it just because of jobs like this, small panfish, and especially crappies!!!! Good luck, like to see some pics when it's done.

I thawed mine in denatured alcohol and that help set the hair and toughen up the skin, it wasnt bad at all to skin out. After I turned the ears an fleshed a little, I washed it with dawn then I brushed on Rittels kwik-n-eze. It worked great, i also did 8 day old bobcats the same way.
