This is great info Cecil. What does the salt do to the show side of the chromish fish?

It tightens in the scales that are so easily lost on these fish. I learned this one day when I stopped in a taxidermy shop in Alpena, MI during summer National Guard training. That shop did a lot of Great Lakes fish being right on Lake Huron.

your right about the salt Cecil, but i think DA does the same thing....i use salt , if I'm far away, i rough flesh them salt like a cape and place in a cooler

Yes DA does the same thing but salt is a lot cheaper.  Grin
