Sorry I'm kind of old school. I like a two blade head usually from a longbow. Partial to Zwickey. Made since 1935. You should remember back then Grin Grin. Sorry George. Seriously, I see alot of different heads and alot of stuff killed (and wounded) while guiding hunters. Rages and other mechanicals have consistent penetration issues especially on big mule deer and elk. Several outfitters are forbidding or at least strongly discouraging them.

You know I hear that story and I just don't buy it. I see Jim Burnworth shooting sable and Eland. I see Chuck Adams shoot muskox, and Jay Gregory taking animals through both shoulders. The I see mark Drury shoot a deer in the ass with a Muzzy. You tourist's need to tell all those manufacturers swishing over to mechanicals they need to stop. River Thornberry tells the story of missing a Boomer with the only broadhead tipped arrow (Bear Razor). He instinctly grabbed a second arrow and killed the deer with a target tip. That may be questionable ethics but shooting a deer in the ass isn't so hot either.

BTW the holes being addressed are NOT the entry holes. Its when the arrow comes out the other side after passing THROUGH.

One thing to agree on is that before any head can kill. it has to be placed right.

I prefer the Thunderheads !  Always a pass through.  Even on them there fancy TV shows there is alot of arrow hangin' on the entry side of the critter when they shoot a Rage. Not all the time.... but way to often for me.

I once heard that a tornado can send a straw through a tree. Then i once heard that a tornado can rip apart a neighbors house yet leave the next one untouched.
