well some of you may have read about hair slipping on a red im shoulder mounting out driving the country today and what is on the side of the road? a nice dead red! our season is over, but you can still have green hides 20 days after season closes. so im pretty sure road kill isnt classified as a way of taking game lol. so im skinning it after i get off here. going to michigan wed. to mon should i flesh and salt then freeze till im ready? or tan it before i leave so i have less chance of ears slipping again?

cool. i skinned and got the ears turned. test fit the form and it is gonna be nice. the only thing is i cut the edge of the ear while cutting the ears open. but it should be an easy fix. i do cut the ear buts off right? i even stuck the ears in it and eyes on the form and it is gonna turn out great!. now im off to go try and shoot a yote for my other mount since its....oo to bald to mount. it would look fugly. worst comes to worse ill have to cut its bottom lip off and hope it matches one i have frozen and skinned. and transplant it but i should just keep frozen till i get back next week?
