i just fleshed a fox head for a shoulder mount. i have ultimate acid and curatan from van dykes. but the amount of time i have to leave it in that pickel im afraid ill get slippage. i usually use half and half salt water and vinigar and turns pure white with in hrs. can i use that and still use the curatan? does it matter what tanning solution i use. also i dont know if ill be able to get to this when i should. so should i salt hide and freeze until i have time? i need help quick, as the hide is on my table right now not salted...

If your pH in your pickle is stable (and below 2.5 for most acids) you will not get slippage. That is what a pickle is for... Never used Curatan..

Just salt it down and let it dry till you get home then rehydrate before the pickle with 1/4 lb salt per gallon and a degreasing agent.
