some new work from South Africa

Hi guy's hello here from South Africa
Here is a recent fish I finished. Its a WestCaost Steenbras (Lithognathus aureti)
This is the biggest fish of its species ever to be weighed on the Namibian coastline it weighed 32 Kg or 72 Lbs
This was the most difficult fish for me to paint as u can easily under or overpaint it.
this is a pic of an actual Westcoast Steenbras, this one I made a replica of was way bigger lol!
here is the finished fish

Nice work Rian, it is a pity there was not something in your picture to give a sense of the size of the fish, at 72lbs it must have been quite big !
Salt water fish are something I intend to have a go at this summer, although a lot of UK species are "boring" we do have a few colorful ones to try.
