Don't know about comps., but the only fin I'd ever not back and just use something like Tuffin on would be the spiny dorsal. On all the other fins and tail if you don't use silkspan or the likes and you JUST use something like Tuffin or whatever, it's been my experience that the edges will eventually curl slightly (and not all evenly). So, without silkspan you're going to end up with a slightly ragged look which I don't like. I like a nice clean edge that will last...

If its too ragged to leave I use tuf-fin and silk span. Not sure if lens tissue is the same thing, I may have 2 look into that
