looking for critique on a Whitetail

I am not a beginner, just learning new things and looking for some opinions on my "new" process so I can tweak it where it is needed. The deer was not quite level on the wall when I took the photos, his ears are even but they don't appear that way. I changed my eye set and nose detail ( the inner detail you can't see I couldn't get a good shot of it). Also the first deer I have done using Meder Liquid Lens , I usually use the Meder IQ. Your comments are welcome on eveything about the deer and some help on the finishing is more then welcome( I know I can use some work on it). This deer is not a show piece, straight up commercial and already out the door with a very pleased customer. I am however, looking for help on my whitetail work to advance my skills to do better at the shows and increase my quality on commercial as well. If you stop learning it is time to get out of the game. I have many people to thank for getting me this far and hopefully more to thank after I post this. Responses are welcome here or in a PM. Thanks in advance!

the one thing that stood out to me was the hair pattern on the forehead. it looks to be bunched up or some thing. it should tapper out toward the eyes alittle. also pay a little more attention to detail on the ear butts. hope this helps.

Looks good bro. For finishing the deer I have some tips. When painting the eyes always lightly paint a white basecoat around entire eye. Then use poly wt ear pink lightly.clean overspray with toothbrush between every coat. Then spray chocolate brown lightly around eye avoiding tear duct which is pinkish white in color. You want to also avoid the top eyelid crease area, leave it basically white, I think its more aesthetically pleasing this way. Then take black umber and just hit where the glass meets the eyelid all the way around(top eyelid as well). For commercial I hit the top ear edge with black umber giving the effect of perfectly crisp ear edges. Hope this helps.

Looks good... How do you like the liquid lens eyes and are they medium or dark? I'm very much still learning but I think I just picked up something in another thread that says the eye lashes need to be forward.

Thanks for the tips , now I have some new stuff to try. The liquid eyes look ok, I am used to meder IQ I have been using them for a long time. I think I bought the medium color eyes, I personally don't like the dark eyes. The eye lashes are over the eye but,for some reason they don't show well in any of the pics, that was something that had gotten drilled into my head by a mentor. Daniel, thanks for the paint method, going to try that on one of the next ones. The color over the eye is natural you can see it in the unfinished pics below, I didn't put a lot of paint around the eye of this one. It is a good solid commercial deer, I just want to step up my game.
Dan, now that I look closer you may be right, looks like a little chocolate brown in the eye crease.
Thanks again guys every little bit of info helps. Keep it coming!

Not bad overall. Use more reference. Forehead, ear placement and nos. wing need better placement. Nose pad is rough looking too. Learn from the deer and good reference that is the key.

forehead hair patterns, need more and softer detail around eyes, the lowest part of lower lid is the center of pupil, nose wings off slightly. looking better, see you in march

Thanks for the feed back folks! The "look" of my deer have changed quite a bit from what I was doing last year, starting to get used to the new eye and nose method. For some reason many of my deer have curls, swirls and cowlicks on their foreheads.
Sleeping Giant, still not quite where I want to be yet but, I am not too far from it . I will get there with a little more tweaking and instruction. See you in March, looking forward to it.
