I was just wondering if after you flesh the birds can you put stop rot on the flesh side to help hold feathers in. What are the side effects if you do if any? Thanks

I have used it on a few birds, but I never had issues with loose feathers before or after applying.

What would be the benefit, unless the bird is starting to slip, and at that point, you would have to be pretty creative to cover it up

I dont think it will help hold the feathers. If that's an issue, denautred alcohol will help tighten the skin and hold feathers (to a point). If you have a really bloody bird or one that was shipped and thawed for a while, it will help to prevent bacteria growth that will cause slip so it's a good preventitive measure.
It does change something in the skin somehow and it seems that it's a little more pliable and easier to work with when sprayed with stop rot. No bad side effects that I know of. Nothing but positive results for me. I tried it on a few questionable birds and they mounted up fine.
