I have worked the factory life since I was 18, now I am 32. I was wondering if the skilled taxidermist thinks this is to old to start over and peruse something that you dreamed of? Did I waste time not Learning what I think a am going to be good at, or do I have time to learn this trade and be Successful?

If you don't start today, how old are you going to be tomorrow?

If you would have started a long time ago,,,,,,,,,,, ,,,,,,, you would be sick of this taxidermy stuff by now, and think it was just like any other job. But if you start now,,,,, you won't think that for a few more years.

Thanks, George, my feelings exactly. I'm 49 and am just starting out. Still got some good years left in me. I don't think it is ever too late to start learning something new. And I'd rather try and fail than regret never having tried.

Only as old as you think you are. Started skinning when I was 13 but never did anything with it as I dreamed. At 29 persued it more and did first mount. By 34 did quite a few small stuff but that year did first bear half size. Went through divorce at 35 so joined army and got out at 39. I'm 40 now and I am going to go to school this year " thanks to VA for paying due to army screwing up my back and foot" and I never felt ready as I do now. I'm Ready...

Never too old!  I'm only doing it as a hobby right now, but who knows maybe I'll go into business 10 years down the road, and I'm 31.

I started fooling with taxidermy at age 40.  No way I would have had the patience any younger.  Go for it!

Some good words of encouragement and wisdom there. Don't hesitate.  Two of  the saddest, poignant and  remorseful words in the English language are  IF ONLY...

I believe Ronald Regan was past 70 the first time he ran for president. You are still a wipper snapper. You are never to old, you are just a young man with a dream.  Wake up! Get going. “In golf as in life it is the follow through that makes the difference.”

Age is nothing. I started tanning when I was in my late 20s. Now, in my early 30s, I feel that it is actually a better time for me to learn something seriously, as my teens and early 20s were spent doing rambunctious stuff that did not allow for serious learning. Maturity can be your friend in learning a new skill, I think.
