Burbot

I have a Burbot to mount and I can't seem to find a form to use. I've never did a cast before so I'm in need of help, is there any suppliers that sell such a form, is there any other type of form I can use and I need to know the color of eyes I should purchase.

Carve your own form. I can't remember what their eyes look like sorry. Google eelpout and see what you come up with. I think I would make an artificial head for it. Good luck, 3bears

I don't think anybody produces a commercially available form. You'll need to carve your own. I agree with 3Bears on casting the head. I've only mounted one, and I cast the head. However, I didn't cast the fins, which I would HIGHLY recommend. Their fins are very meaty along the base and casting them would probably give you the best results.

I used Van Dyke's Natural fish eyes general purpose gold
http://www.vandykestaxidermy.com/General-Purpose-Gold-C893.aspx
; however, you would be better off using either Jeff Lumsden's still life lenses or Van Dyke's Natural Fish Eyes flints and painting them yourself.
