Hi Folks,

Wanting to buy a Foredom Tool.  I noticed that there are three different models:

The Foredom SR 1/6 hp
TXH 1/3 hp.
TXR 1/3 hp

Using it for my bird taxidermy: grinding bone material, grinding bird body forms, all around, setting wires in drift wood, etc.

There's a significant price difference between these models.  Which one will I be most happy with?

Thanks for all your help guys!

Danny

Pardon my ignorance, but why would you grind bone material for bird taxidermy?

Foredom SR 1/6 hp ...i use it for heavy duty roughing out fish for wood carving...I've have it since 2005...and it still is in top shape....maintenance is key to keeping it running good...it should work for what you want

I use my grinder for that Shawn. It's a lot faster and it stinks the place up a whole lot quicker.

I use heavy scissors, tin snips for bones, and use a regular drill for driftwood, occasionally a dremel for bird heads,etc...
