Looking at the Gene Smith forms and wondered about the neck measurements. Does his C measurement correspond with McKenzie B measurement? And do you that have used them like them.

I am in ohio, and I find that the necks on his forms are too short for the Deer I get in. I measured against some other forms I had here and the necks were almost 2" shorter to comparable size forms. Just my opinion.

I have used Gene's forms. They mount up great! Just make sure of your measurements.

Gene's "B" measurement is the circumference below ear butts. His "C" measurement is the circumference 3 inches down from "B" measurement.

I have been using Gene's form pretty exclusively for the last 3 years. I have tried about every form on the market and love Gene's forms. I understand the short neck issue but I believe Gene's has corrected that in his newer forms. For those of you mounting the larger frame deer, you really should try some of Gene's newer forms sculpted for the larger frame deer. I just mounted a Kansas deer that had a very large head and frame on his new quarter sneak and love the new head. There has been a lot of discussion about the new 6900 form from McKenzie on this site. I have tried a couple and they mounted up pretty nice but I prefer Gene's forms.

So the c measurement on Gene Smith forms corresponds to the axis measurement??
Looking forward to trying a few of them we get some long big framed deer in our area and some short stocky framed as well. I really like the Ben Mears forms and they seam to be a little shorter in the neck.

I tried some of genes forms last month, in the end they turned out great, but did have an issue of the neck being a bit short on the form, I just put in some extra creases in the neck and it worked out,I like them now.
