A Short time ago, I purchased a nice spotty, pretty colored, medium sized b.cat, who was missing it's rear left leg.
Well,...technically it has a 3 inch stub. And to mount him, I realize I'll need to do some sewing/blending magic,
but it's going to be a Father,Son project so we only need to please ourselves.

I understand it's a off the wall request, but is there anyone out there with such a limb, or a cat in bad shape that he could be
'parted out'?

Thanks for reading, & I'd appreciate any advice, or offer.

Roger

Final Update:

Was just contacted by Sterling, who has, what seems to be exactly what I need. Thanks to all who were involved in my post!

Do u have apicture? How bout size? I have a couple small cats that may not sell good. Just curious why you bought a 3 legged one. Might even make an interesting mount.

No, I haven't a picture. He's tucked deep down in the freezer. sorry
I do however know that he's 32" nose to base of tail, 17" girth behind the front legs, & 2" from nose to front of eyes.
He's a large cat. And with the stub, maybe a smaller cats full leg might make up the difference.

Why'd I buy him? Man, who knows! The way the stub had healed to some extent, I figure a mis-shot from a hunter left him in that predicament. So I wanted to mount him free-standing with a pirate peg leg, giving him a final chance for some dignity.

And of course the price, was lower than the typical 4 legged models, usually on the showroom floor.

So that's my pickle. I don't want this to end up being a money pit, but I'm willing to pay a fair price,......for a leg.

I was thinking maybe 15 bucks, give or take. pm if you or anyone else, might be interested in writing off a cat for that.

I'll consider any offers that may come my way. I mean heck, what do I have to loose? (insert joke here)

exactly how much do you need? from the hock down? how many inches of foot? you do realise that proper shipping will exceed your $15 budget......

The minimum amount of leg I would need, before I trim to fit, would begin at the upper proximal portion, symmetrically cut around the hind quarter,...down, to the claws.
I understand your question, not everyone measures 12 inches as 12 inches, some think it means 11 and a half, or 10.
I just need as much of the leg as I can get, which will give me room to work, when making the fit.
Bob, I pulled the cat from the freezer, and as close as I can measure, right foot, from the bend to the tip of his paw, is 5 inches.
Here again, ...I want to do a nice job, but this isn't a competition piece, as alot of ya'll perform on a regular basis. So if I need to modify,
or alter, or I get a slight wrinkle, or whatever, I'm not going to sweat it. I just enjoy the challenge, and it gives me something to do with my son, keeping his head in the right place at this point in his life. (if you know what I mean)

And shipping hasn't come up in the thread,....too many variables, not knowing dry, wet, distance, ect. This isn't my first rodeo, trust me, I've shipped and recieved a few things in my 50 years, I understand the expense.

I just threw the $15 thing out there, something is only worth, what someone is willing to pay for it, & vice-versa. I'll negotiate either way. That price isn't carved in stone.

Thanks Bob, for bringing to light, a couple things I overlooked, in my description.

I may have what you need. I have a whole cat that I am only going to pedestal mount. Giant hole in the belly. I might have the hind legs for you. I will thaw it out tonight and let you know.

Wow, That sounds great!

I was thinking after another day of no responses, I was going to take Bob up on his offer, (his very generous offer, Thanks Bob!) & pay shipping from Indy for just the feet, and attempt a  challenging patch job.

Please feel free to pm me, after the thaw, and we can talk further about the deal. Thanks Creek.

My Momma taught me to never burn a bridge, so even though Creek's option sounds like a good fix for both him and I,
& I would consider this close to pending as possible,
If anyone else might have a leg, I would appreciate knowing, please feel free to post.

It always is a good idea to have 1 or 2 backup plans.

Thanks again, Creek, Bob, snowman, and anyone else with a limb fitting the criterea of my predicament.

Roger
