same here charge more, normally bigger than a tail also more costs in materials, would you charge the same for a bear when they were lets say one was 3' and the other 4'. just my thought
Yes I do, all shoulder mount black bears are the same price, just as all button bucks are the same price as Boone and Crockets.
i was not refering to shoulder mounts i was refering to lifesize just comparing them bigger costs more thats all

I ain't buying that crap. I charge the same. If you think a muley is hard, what do you charge for a south Alabama whitetail killed August 15? You ain't seen "hard" till you get one of those paint job guys with tick bitten ears that fall apart like tapioca. If you're charging more for mule deer than you are whitetail, then you ain't charging enough for your whitetails. And if you charge less for a doe than you do a buck, you're really pushing my BS button. I charge a flat rate for all deer, either sex. OH, and I usually get whitetails from Canada that are MUCH bigger than the average muley I get here, so what would you guys complaining about the "extra work" do in pricing those guys?
Now Joe, let me ask you a question since you put apples and oranges into this mix. How much does a 5x12 whitetail button buck form cost and what does an 8x24 whitetail cost. Without looking, I'm guessing MAYBE $10 at most. But now lets take a cub black bear, soaking wet at 60 pounds. What does THAT form cost? Enough to buy 3 or 4 whitetail forms. Now compare that to a 600 black bear boar killed on Vancouver Island. How much does THAT form cost in comparison to the cub form? So a bear isn't a good trade. Instead, let's take a pronghorn antelope. About the size of a small Mississippi deer. Do you charge less for them? Not much fleshing to be done on the hide and the ears are pretty straight forward (other than the tips of course). How about an impala? Same size, but I guarantee you, you can have 2 whitetails mounted for what I'm gonna charge for one impala.

I charge the same but should charge more for mulies. White tails are just easier to do, less time.

Like I said, I'm hard headed. I've yet to imagine what's "harder" about a mule deer than a whitetail. You seldom get all that facial detailing and certainly less neck detailing with the much thicker hair on a mule deer. As for speed goats, I do charge $75 more than whitetails for them because their hair WILL pull out and that face work can be a royal pain in the butt.

I charge more (only $25 more) for a muley than a WT. My reasoning? Aren't any around here. More than likely cost the hunter more to get the dang thing, so he can also pay me a little more. LOL not really. Main reason is the ones I get in have had the worst field care. Idiots think they can ride in the back of a truck without, or with very little ice, from Mew Mexico to Waco.

My prices are the same. My tannery charges the same for both. Large whitetail forms can cost a little more than average mule deer forms. So in some cases It's cheaper mounting mulies. Yes, there is a little more ear work and sewing but not enough to raise the price-- for me anyway.

I charge the same, but then I'm probably close to $100 higher for both than most of the people answering your question.

I charge the same $500 each. Do more mulies than whitetails, and Antelope are $500 also.
