I'm a little different when it comes to ordering. I spread it out all over. I get my stuff from McKenzie,Van Dykes,Research mannikins,Matt Thompson,WASCO and others. Whoever has what might fit is who I get it from. McKenzie has unsurpassed customer service. 10 bucks come on thats a six pack of bottled water LOL and I never cared for the free eyes and earliners. I always sold those on ebay at the end of the year. We usually raise our shoulder mounts 25.00 per year to offset the supply increase. good luck,Mark V.

I sometimes struggle with a large price increase, but I know I have a choice and am never forced at gunpoint to buy any form.I alter every form I mount on to some degree. That is what ninety percent of my time is spent doing in the shop.I have decided that I am going to invest some time into sculpting some cougar forms.Making the initial sacrifice is going to be tough, but in the long run I feel it will pay off.Like when I have a desert sheep to do I really try to steer my clients towards the pose that Dawayne Dewey sells because I can have it ready to go in no time at all and it looks better than anything on the market. It is truly "user friendly". Even changing size and pose is easy on a form with good lines and proper anatomy.
I mount eighty percent of my cougars and leopards on five forms.Even when the size is close I spend at least a day or two refining it to my liking.I know Dawayne and Aron Connelly have been sculpting some new forms and I for one will use them any chance I get.
AS for McKenzie cornering the market,I think not! There are too many gaps where good sculpting is needed.I think in the next few years alot of those gaps will be filled by a couple of guys in Wyoming.

McKenzie!!!! $25.00 for half a bear head that fits in a 10X8 inch box, and weighs under 1 pound box and all $8.30 shipping. All to make a bear form closed mouth. Mind you, I ordered a closed mouth form at $325.00. but that was 8 months ago so it does not count. I will say they did get the little jewel here quickly.

I got my catalog today!! I like the re-design in the catalog, and the little tabs, but I guess everything is a few bucks more...That's O.K. I have very little overhead, and I definately will pay a little more for my supplies to a taxidermy supply company that listens, is friendly, and wants to help you succeed!!!

I do have to agree with those who stated how service oriented McKenzie is.They have raised the bar and I believe have forced the competition to treat us better.Good for everyone!!!
