Phil, you need to breath our dirty eastern air to come back to reality, lol. That whole thing was dripping with tongue in cheek sarcasm, for RC to benefit from. You know, like it was the SIZE that keeps Richard from completing the mount, not the TIME? Good thing we like you Phil!
Also, someone mentioned budget...the EZ Stand sure isnt a budget buster, its really priced right. I too like that stand Butch makes, I didnt know he still was doing them. I missed him at the last show!

George....dont sit there waiting for RC to mount your deer head. He's been spending all his time driving around NH looking for a bargain house to buy. You know how Richard is with money. I know another taxidermist who is waiting for him to mount a deer head for him and yours came in after his...lololol Good luck....JL

Point well taken,Bill.
J. Comp I have A couple of commercially produced stands(out in the barn), but For me it was well worth the money having some custom built to fit my style.

George, and JL,
I know Richard is actually trying to get some of his work out of the way, it may have something to do with that house thing JL mentioned. If Kevin is the guy JL had in mind, then I think George's wait is about half over.
Bill,
Butch brings a stand to every CAT now NEAT show. I don't know how many he makes every year, but I believe they are made per order. Now there's an incentive to come to our next show, hint, hint.

I use the model A from Van Dykes. If theres a problem with stability you can afix it to the floor(for the bigger critters).

Since the stability of a stand has come up, I'm not one who likes to have something bolted to the floor while I work around it. I did take a floor model stand and built a base complete with wheels, set the stand to one side of the base, and filled it with a cement or concrete type mix to add weight to the whole thing. It isn't really as heavy as it sounds, but this stand did hold a moose without any problems, and I'm able to move it anywhere I want when I'm using it, or not. One neat thing I did for my own personal benefit was have my kids put their hand prints in the base with their ages at the time, which was some 20 years ago.

EZ Stand - just like the George Forman grill - set it and forget it - once you get it adjusted it works like a charm.
