Hey Some more really HUGE news for out in the mid west! Mr. Jimmy  Lawrence of Bedford Iowa did some good showing at the 2007 Iowa taxidermy state competition! Jimmy spent some time out here with us and has lots of fun in "fish boot camp" LOL! Jimmy WON big with his Steelhead in the Masters Division! WAY to GO JIMMY!!!!!!!here is a taste of Jimmys Steelhead work!

Great Job Jimmy!!!

Thanks alot!  I couldn't have acheived such results without my good friend Rick!!! I can't tell you enough about his classes, and about him.  I didn't have time to do the base there, but we ran over several sketches and ideas.  We sunk most of our time into basic fish stuff.  But he works his workshops around your wants, and needs, so let him know and im sure you can plan something that will work!!!  Once again, THANKS RICK.  YOU ARE THE MAN.

What a great weekend for 2 of Anglers Artistry fellow students and some truly great people I have the honor to know!
Mr. Cory Foth of Kansas and Mr. Chad See of West Virgina!
Both Gentleman Won Best of Show fish for there competition this past weekend!

Cory Won Best of Show fish Masters! Chad Won Best of Show fish!
Big Way to Go!!!!

This makes 4 this year Best of Show winners for fish! I couldn't be More proud and it shows me that good work ethics and a plan along with drive and hard work will pay off if your strive for your goals! Way to go!!!!!

It never ceases to amaze me how Rick can teach.  Congrats to Jimmy, Chad and all others I may have missed that went to see Rick.  Trying to mount the perfect fish for a competition can be a very daunting task; all fish have so much detail and anatomy, it seems impossible to re-create  what nature has put there.  I'll keep on trying.  Thanks Rick.

A little Taste of Chad See's of Elkins WV and his Steelhead! Chad worked on lots of Anatomy and also painted this beautiful Steelie!

Everyone of your students Rick are heads above the competition right from the get go. Your posting's of your students beautiful fish mounts has really made me want to turn out that level of fish work. Your students are very lucky.Nice work!
