I hope every one had a day that was meaningful and full of what we are all and can be to one another as a reason of thanks and giving. It has been a year of lots of events and not that this year is any different then any other it just goes by doesn’t it… Births and deaths, successes and failures, good times and bad times, life goes on. It is how I understand life to be as something we make of it or not. Choice and accountability is what makes all of us different for good or bad; however it is the spirit of how we choose to live our lives with, and among others. Have you thought about your life as something special enough to be thankful for having? I have thought long and hard about this very question as of late.

I’m a taxidermist and a teacher and in grand scheme of things that is not much to some but a great value to others. For me personally it is just what I do not who I am. I’m a Dad and a Husband, a friend to some, and some times just a guy named Rick. God gave me this life to live and on a good day I live it as hard as I can, on most other days I live it just fine. I have come to realize that this day of thanksgiving is a day that I choose to remember my life in a year. Not last year but my life, as it was one year. To much to think about trying to remember after these many years of the comings and goings of memories, but this day is a good day for me to remember the life God gave me as one year in reflection of my life and what I’m personal grateful for. I don’t mean for this to be a religious testimony nor anything but a self reflection of my personal thoughts and beliefs about the life I have been given, and for those who my be like me (or not) who are just amazed that life has so much to offer and to give to each and every one of us.

I am grateful for so much as I have so much to be grateful for. Such a long post for such a simple affirmation to say Thank you. I thank you for you and all you give to me. I thank you for letting me be a friend, a helper of those in need some times, as a Taxidermist, as a teacher, and just for letting me be just me for good or bad whether I did something for you that you think is good, or for your understanding when I just didn’t have what you wanted or needed, just thank you. Thank you for letting me be a part of your life as you are kind enough to understand that we both are part of this life time as human. I wish you a Happy day of Thanksgiving and good health and peace of mind.

Thanks Jimmy!

WOW I was told about a 10 minutes ago from my wife surfing the net that the little Anglers Artistry family string of the training section just hit 100,000 hit! Man that makes me so proud of all the folks who come here to look at the wonderful and impressive work of the Anglers Artistry family members!!! Give your self credit AA fishheads as it is your work that bring folks here to be inspired!!!!
I want to share a customer fish I just finished yesterday for a Gentleman in GA. Here is his Cutthroat he caught and the one I finished for him based off his photo. I wish I could have worked with a slightly better reproduction as there would have been a better canvas to work with but I think all in all it came out just fine. Man if I could have known 1/4 of a century ago what I know know I still would want o know more!

On behalf of Kathie, Miss Amber and myself thank you all for sharing your lives with me!!!

My Very Best!

Rick Krane

Congratulations Rick and the whole AA family on the 100,000 hits!!!!!!!! Rick this is just one small milestone that speaks volumes in your work, teaching and accomplishments.

As far as your cutthroat, that is just spot on man! I seem to getting more and more requests for these type of paint jobs also. This just shows your versatility and that your not dead set on giving one type of paint job. It's also a big part of making people enjoy having not only a mount of there fish but having it reproduced to its finest details as it is in the actual photo. Any one can paint a fish but not everyone can break away from their normal routine and give a 100%, custom, pin point accruate job like this. Thats what keeps the customers coming. Nice job bossman!!! Keep up the great inspiration!!!!

I agree with you Travis that eye is crazy!!!!!

Here's my latest out of the shop. Its actually one of my personal mounts I squeezed in between some customer work. This is my 9lb Sheepshead I caught back in June it beat my last personal best which was 7.6lbs. I sent it up to Lake Country for a custom mold and cast and was more than pleased with the results.

Here's the live fish photo.

Not impressed at all travis.  I looked at my computer screen for a good five minutes, and didn't see the mouth or gills move.

I expected better from you!!!!

LOLOLOLOL>  Great job man.  Ive seen several in Florida while Ive been fishing, but never got the chance to hook into one.  Cant imagine it gets much better than that one however!!!
