Well Shane, you gotta get your butt to NC in the summer and bring a FAST hookset. LOL Somedays you'll catch em good and somedays they will rob you blind all day. This year we caught bigger sheepshead but way less all together. Dude I tell you what, they fight like bluegills on steroids. Fish that go 7lbs and up will take several runs pulling drag and all you can do is hang on a wait.

Getting closer to the Holidays and I hope all in the Anglers Artistry family are doing well and have had a safe and joyful year! I want to share some great news a bit belated on my part with the birth of a beautiful boy this year! I want to share some  Beautiful work of Mr. Paul Cazarnecki of Waterford, Pennsylvania! Paul sent me a nice photo of a Yellow Perch he recently completed for a client. This year was a great year with a joyful blessing for the Czarnecki family!!  This kind of happiness is especially the greatest joy of them all! Congratulations to you both once again and may your lives be that much more complete!

Here is a very nice Yellow Perch from Mr. Czarnecki!

My BEst!

Paul, Great looking Perch! I would like to do one someday. Congratulations, with the birth of your boy! That is way cool!
Travis, you are killing me! Your talents and abilities are amazing. I will have to pick your brain, if I ever get around to doing a Mahi Mahi. Both fish are smoking!
I thought I would post this here, even though I posted it over on the fish form. I did a Coho jack. for my work Christmas party. This is from a mold I did a couple of years ago. Not very good, but worked in a pinch.
I wish all the Anglers Artistry family a Merry Christmas and a very fishy New Year!!!!!!!!!!!

I want to wish you all friends and family members of Anglers Artistry and all of the inspired artist who spend the time to get that much better at our beloved craft we call fish taxidermy the warmest and genuinely hopeful blessings for this 2009 Christmas! On this day the Lord gave to us born his only son!

I do hope you have the opportunity to be thankful for your gifts of great passion and talent as an artist! It is a blessing to me for our lives to be joined from time to time to share and learn from one another.

Be safe during the holidays and continue to learn always!

Merry Christmas!

I want to share the last workshop of 2009! Mr. Matt Kapraun for the great state of Illinois came out and join the family here in Hinsdale, New Hampshire for a bit of fun and fish work! Matt is a full time taxidermist and a gifted one at that! It was lots of fun for Kathie and I to spend time with Matt. Each and every student taxidermist who comes here at some point is challenged with a obstacle or two. What I love is when some one has the courage to push through it and come to their own conclusions to better proceed by using the new information they have been working with and on as Matt did several times! Way to go Matt!

I want o share some pictures of the incredible work of Mr. Matt Kapraun! I hope you enjoy his big fish!

Matt Creating what will be a pair of beauties!

So it begins!

Oh yeah We feed Matt too! I always joke about how much great food we eat here but I have to give all the credit to Kathie who can cook to beat the band!!!!

I think Matt was trying to make friends! LOL!

Matt making fins molds

Matt doing some painting…

Well earned!

Merry Christmas!

Im trying to find words to describe what you just posted Rick!!!

That is amazing.  You don't know how hard Ive been trying to get a Chum of my own to do!!  They are a seemingly impossible fish to acquire.

Very impressive work sir!!  You will make one hell of a fish taxidermist.  Some of the best work I have seen yet from Rick's students!!!  You are right up there with the Best!!!

Amazing!

Good job Matt! Those chum ARE pretty. I've never thought of them as "hard to come by" though. It's just a matter of being where the fish are..  Wink
